HomeRepair is seeking experienced Home Assessors, Building Assessors, Estimators, Supervisors and trade-qualified building professionals to join our growing Melbourne Assessing team.

Current opportunities are available across:

  • 2 x Home Assessor positions covering Melbourne’s Northern & North-Eastern Suburbs, including the CBD
  • 1 x Home Assessor position covering Melbourne’s South-Eastern Suburbs

In this role, you’ll assess residential property damage, prepare repair scopes and estimates, liaise with homeowners and trades, and help deliver high-quality insurance repair outcomes across a diverse range of claims.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conduct on-site residential property assessments
  • Identify damage and determine repair requirements
  • Prepare detailed scopes of work and cost estimates
  • Collaborate with homeowners, trades and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure repairs are completed in accordance with relevant building standards and regulations
  • Deliver exceptional customer outcomes throughout the repair journey

What You’ll Bring Essential

  • Trade qualification within the building industry
  • Strong residential construction experience
  • Experience in assessing, estimating, site supervision or residential building repairs
  • Sound knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and WHS requirements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Current unrestricted driver’s licence

Highly Regarded

  • Insurance building or insurance repairs experience
  • Home Assessing experience
  • Escape of liquid claims experience
  • Structural repair experience
  • Experience preparing scopes of work and repair estimates
